Fiber

Fiber optic cable consists of very thin, very pure glass, allowing more fibers to be bundled in a size equivalent to copper cable. Data transmitted through fiber optic cable travels in the form of light at 186,000 miles per second! Unlike copper, the light signal in one fiber doesn't interfere with signals in other fiber optic cables.

Where available and affordable, fiber is a valuable resource to include in most network Designs.
